Keywords:Global Geodetic Observing System, GGOS Japan, Space Geodetic Techniques

Space geodetic techniques such as VLBI, SLR, GNSS and DORIS had competed eath other since the early age. With the 2015 UN resolution on geodetic reference frame, however, they are now regarded as a combined observing system because every technique has advantages and disadvantages.

As many as six different institutes have operated large-size geodetic systems with VLBI and/or SLR, which is unique to Japan. We therefore needed to have a coordinating board to strengthen the collaboration among the space-geodesy-related agencies.

This presentation will cover our achievement such as assembling our site list, hosting various domestic/international meetings, planning a special issue in a domestic journal, producing its leaflet and website. GGOS Japan also provides online and offline forums for timely issues, such as assigning Data DOI to geodetic dataset, submitting local tie for ITRF2020, etc.
