[19a-PA2-8] Nonlinear optical effects contribute to high-power THz generation using DAST

We discussed nonlinear effects that affect terahertz(THz) generation by difference frequency generation(DFG) using organic nonlinear crystal DAST. THz generation via DFG is assumed as high-power THz generation method. However, decrese of THz generation efficiency was reported when power of incident light pulse is high. In this research, THz generation efficiency dependence on pump energy was calculated based on theories of several nonlinear optical effects.
