[1004] DEVELOPMENT OF N2 AND H2O BET SURFACE AREA OF LOW HEAT PORTLAND CEMENT

Low heat Portland cement shows larger drying shrinkage than ordinary cement. To elucidate the mechanism of large shrinkage, fundamental property of low heat Portland cement paste was investigated. The results of N2 sorption measurement show that the amount of total sorption amount does not increase after 28 days of age. On the other hand, from water vapor sorption measurement and TG, total sorption of water vapor molecules and amount of CBW increase after 28 days of age. It was suggested that the generation mechanism of C-S-H was different from ordinary Portland cement.
