X線イメージングにより回転磁場付与時のAl-10mass%Si-2mass%Fe-2mass%Mn合金溶湯の撹拌凝固過程をその場観察し、金属間化合物α-AlSiFeMnの晶出・成長過程に及ぼす溶湯の流動の影響を明らかにした。
