The impact of infectious diseases on human society is very extensive and far-reaching. The impact of infectious diseases on children's development is particularly serious. Whether it is normal children or special children in Taiwan, their life, treatment, and education are comprehensively and widely affected by the severe COVID-19 epidemic. Under the influence of the premise of the severe epidemic period, there are not enough resources to discuss the epidemic prevention measures. It is a pity that the overall epidemic situation will affect the development of children's life, treatment, development, and education in this situation. At the same time that the epidemic has gradually eased from the severe epidemic period, it is very important to initially explore the impact of the epidemic on children's development and special education.
We use ICF-CY as theoretical model to survey family with child(2Y/O ~ 10Y/O) to understand how epidemic affected our life at COVID-19 period.
The results of our research is that "development and education of child","healthy of caregiver","environment factor" are influenced deeply.
It is important to further understand how children's life, treatment, development, and education are affected during the epidemic, in addition to allowing the medical system and special education system to make specific recommendations based on the research results, it can also be used as advanced research to improve the quality of medical care in the future, family function and quality of life, policy formulation and an important basis for future research directions.
