[O08-P17] Citizen Science Forecast and Evaluate Ship and Airplane Operation Success to a Remote Oceanic Island: a case study for Izu-oshima
Weather outlook and forecast of ship and airplane operation are invaluable information for daily life in remote islands, but also for tourism and business on those islands. In order to help a local island community, a web site was opened in 2004 to provide an outlook for week-term ship and airplane operation between Tokyo and Izu-oshima and annual report evaluating outlook success ratio for better understandings of nature and climate of Izu-oshima. In collaboration with Izu-shima Geopark, we analyze and discuss a long-term outlook success from 2004 to 2018 for promoting and implementing geo- and eco- tour operation in good, convenient and comfortable seasons of the year.
