[M-IS16] Rift-related tectonics, magmatism, mineralization, and paleoceanographic effects

コンビーナ:Luisa Tejada Maria(Department of Solid Earth Geochemistry, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology)、Eun Young Lee(Chonnam National University)、Erik Wolfgring

The session will focus on various types of rift-related magmatism and associated mineralization that forms during different stages of development from rifting to breakup. It will focus on various tectonic mechanisms resulting in either passive or active margins, effusion of both mafic and felsic volcanic rocks or their intrusive equivalents, and paleoceanographic perturbations. The session may include various topics relating to tectonic models and interpretations, magma generation and evolution, lithospheric interaction, intrusive mechanism, eruption mechanisms, and associated mineralization. In addition, contributions regarding the possible link of hotspots or mantle plumes with continental rifting and contemporaneous paleoceanographic perturbations are most welcome. Both oral and poster presentations are desired.
