Sediment availability and bedrock bed roughness are two important factors controlling the morphodynamics of a bedrock channel. Sediment availability can determine if the bedrock channel incises or adjusts its width and slope. In this study we compare various mathematical models and test their efficacy to reproduce laboratory scale experiments. Some mathematical models have suggested a linear relationship between sediment cover and ratio of sediment supply to sediment transport capacity of the channel.
