[ACG45-P01] Application of Isopycnal Layered Model to the Calculation of Hydrological and Oceanic Flows on Islands
キーワード:島全体における水文プロセス
Numerical Models for hydrological and oceanic flows were individually solved and separated. Integrating the hydrological and oceanic models is essential for solving river-ocean mutual interaction. However, the hydrological model, in general, can not merge with the three-dimensional ocean model, and the river model works as a boundary condition. In such a way, river-ocean mutual interaction as a tidal zone can not be solved. Kida and Yamashiki (2014) proposed a new approach to simulate water flow by utilizing the Isopycnal Layered model. This model is particularly suitable for analyzing runoff processes to the ocean from regions where the boundary between surface runoff and riverine runoff is ambiguous, and the river channel is not clear. We applied the model to Yakushima, Ishigaki, and Iriomote Island. Vertical profiles of water were measured near the mouth of Miyanoura River at Yakushima Island. In Iriomote Island, observation was held at Maira river and Shiira river.
