[MAG37-03] I30JP operation and maintenance in 2021-2022

Japan NDC-1 conducts operation and maintenance of I30JP, which locates Isumi-city, Chiba prefecture, as a Post Certification Activities (PCA) since 2005. Because more than 15 years have passed after certification and observatory is aging, we are conducting "Comprehensive Repairment of H1-H6 Site" as the unscheduled maintenance (USM).
Meanwhile, I30H4 vault was flooded and some equipment inside were submerged due to heavy rain caused by the typhoon “Mirinae” in August 2021. Last year DA (Data Availability) of I30H1 to H6 were almost 100%, however, H4 data transmission has stopped from 19 August 2021. We are applying for additional USM and will take remedial actions at I30H4.
A large-scale eruption of the undersea volcano occurred off Tonga on 15 January 2022. By this eruption, large tide level fluctuations were observed mainly in the Pacific coast countries. Moreover, pressure fluctuations were also observed at many IMS infrasound stations. We will introduce observed waveform at I30JP.
