[SVC30-P08] Development of disaster prevention education support system and disaster response plan for elementary and junior high schools considering regional characteristics
Keywords:disaster prevention education, volcanic disaster, school disaster mitigation measure
Sixth graders study volcanoes in science, but it is necessary to understand the phenomenon of volcanic disasters because there are various disaster factors caused by volcanic eruptions and the response differs depending on the disaster factors. Therefore, in this study, we developed a teaching plan for team teaching by elementary school teachers and researchers based on a teaching plan that incorporates experiments created by elementary school teachers in the previous year. Because experiments are a sensual and effective way for children to learn. We conducted the disaster prevention class based on the teaching plan, as a teaching study about elementary and junior high school teachers in Fujikawaguchiko-machi and Narusawa-mura. After the teaching study, we discussed the teaching plan.
On the other hand, according to Okada and Yamori (2019), it is known that teachers of elementary and junior high schools feel burdened by conducting disaster prevention classes. Therefore, in this study, we conducted a similar survey, grasped the problems in conducting disaster prevention lessons, and improved the support system. In addition, as a school disaster mitigation measure, we develop a school disaster response plan according to the alert level of the eruption of Mt. Fuji. We also describe this disaster response plan for volcanic disaster.
