[ACG37-P09] Vegetation recovery in canopy and understory after large-scale forest fires in Siberia detected from GCOM-C/SGLI

Detecting fire disturbance and vegetation recovery is crucial in climate change studies because IPCC reported that climate change might increase fire frequency and severity in the Arctic and boreal ecosystems. In fact, remarkably, many large-scale forest fires occurred in 2019 in Siberia. GCOM-C/SGLI could detect vegetation recovery in the canopy and understory after forest fires in the Siberian taiga. We investigated the relationship between vegetation recovery and fire dimensions.
