With the acceleration of China's urbanization process, the urban disease of road subsidence is becoming more and more serious. According to incomplete statistics, there were about 1,013 recorded road subsidence accidents in China in 2022, resulting in 4 deaths, more than 100 injuries, and more than 80 vehicles scrapped. It poses a great threat to people's life and property. Road subsidence is the final manifestation of road subsurface disease developing to the ground, and road subsurface disease is the root cause of road subsidence.
In recent years, the geophysical prospecting method represented by the Ground Penetrating Radar method has played an important role in the detection of underground road damage. However, there are still many difficulties in the detection process of the GPR, such as 3D GPR antenna positioning, the data processing, anomaly interpretation, and result data output, etc.. NCTU/Geomative Co., Ltd. has been deeply involved in the application field of 3D GPR, and developed the Geopro X road intelligent detection and management platform to solve the above problems.
The Geopro X road intelligent detection and management platform serves the detection of road underground disease in the whole life cycle from task distribution, data collection, data processing, abnormal interpretation, retest verification, and result derivation. The platform supports mainstream 3D GPR such as MALA, IDS, and Impulse, and supports data collection in the combined positioning mode of GNSS and GNSS+IMU; the data is automatically processed; After the processing is completed, one-click to remove the background electromagnetic field and abnormal interference, so that the suspected disease has nowhere to hide, and at the same time, 3D modeling is carried out on the disease bodies to vividly display the shape; after the fieldwork is completed, all the results of the project can be exported with one-click.
