[AAS07-P03] Phenomena of the High-concentration PM10 by according to typhoon track in Korea

Since people generally think that air quality will improve significantly through wind diffusion and precipitation washing during the typhoon's impact, many people tend to believe that high-concentration air pollution will not occur during this period. However, recently, many countries are paying attention to high-concentration air pollution events that appear in various parts of the region during the typhoon's impact period, and especially weak typhoons are predicting that the risk to air pollution will be higher than the risk to rain and wind (QiQuan et al., 2009; Fujung et al., 2022; Chen et al., 2023). According to a study by Na and Jung (2022), it was possible to confirm cases of high-concentration PM10 that frequently appear during the typhoon's impact period in Korea. In particular, unlike other countries, Korea's influential typhoons have various track types and affect them, so the impact varies by region depending on the typhoon's track type. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of high-concentration fine dust by track type of Korea's influenced typhoons were examined.
In particular, it was found that the characteristics of the generation of fine dust at high concentrations during the typhoon impact period in Korea were similar depending on the location of the region. In addition, when the typhoon was the left course based on the Korean Peninsula nationwide at the time of the typhoon impact, a characteristic of showing high concentration at the time of the typhoon appeared. This study is a disaster prevention concept for typhoons that was not previously considered, and unlike general perceptions that were fixed on weather disasters such as precipitation, strong winds, and tsunamis, it will be used as basic data for constructing a new disaster prevention concept.
