[HTT14-P02] Research on Fusion of Point Cloud Models from Multiple Unmanned Vehicles

*YU-SIAN YAN1, Yu-Shen Hsiao1 (1.National Chung Hsing University)

Keywords:PCMs, UAV, USV, Coordinate transformation

We study the fusion of Point Cloud Models (PCMs) obtained from multiple unmanned vehicles using coordinate transformation methods. The unmanned vehicles include Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Unmanned Surface vehicle (USV). The coordinate transformation methods include 4-parameter, 6-parameter, and 7-parameter transformations. In the research on the fusion of UAV and USV PCMs, the study area is located in an agricultural pond in Chiayi County; in the research on the fusion of UAV and UAV PCMs, the study area is situated on the campus of National Chung Hsing University. The main software used in this study includes Pix4Dmapper, GMT, and programs developed in-house. The main objective of this study is to seamlessly integrate PCMs produced by different unmanned vehicles, providing crucial references for environmental monitoring, disaster investigation, structural inspection, and other related fields.
