[O08-P44] Continuity of Intrusive Rocks in Shichigahama Town from near Urato Katsurashima, Shiogama City to Shichigahama Town
Keywords:Volcano, Intrusive rock, Trace Elements, Urato, Zao Volcano
The Urato expedition conducted by the Department of Disaster Science takes place in the field at the Urato Islands, Shiogama City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. In this study, we focused on the Otsuka and Matsushima Formations, which are distributed on Nonoshima and Sabusawa Islands, because we noticed a black layer in the Otsuka Formation on Katsurashima Island, west of Nonoshima. Based on the results of field observations, we propose a hypothesis for the intrusion environment. In addition, we will examine whether this is the same intrusive rock from the Katsurashima area, as well as the color index based on visual observation and the Zr/Y ratio of trace elements. In addition, we will discuss "the plate depth at the time of magma generation" by comparing the results of whole-rock analysis with those of Zao volcano and other volcanoes.
