[PCG19-21] Astrobiology x Exoplanetery science: what are the next steps for creating new synergy?

*Kosuke Fujishima1 (1.Tokyo Institute of Technology, Earth-Life Science Institute)

Keywords:Astrobiology, origin and evolution of life, biological system, biosignature

Astrobiology is the study of life in the universe. To understand where and how life originated and evolved, astrobiologists have made efforts to interconnect knowledge from astronomy, geology, atmospheric science, chemistry, and life science.
As a convener of the 'Astrobiology' session, perspectives from our point of view will be provided to seek topics where Astrobiology and Exoplanetary science can crossover and facilitate new synergistic research together. I will introduce some of the key findings made in the Astrobiology field in the resent years connecting the origins and evolution of life to terrestrial biological system to planet evolution to discuss the signature of life, which still is an extremely difficult theme by itself.
