Proposals for the Lower-Middle Pleistocene Boundary GSSP, which is placed to be around the Matuyama-Brunhes boundary, shoud be submitted by the end of this May. Three candidates (Montalbano Jonic, Valde di Manche and the Chiba) have been proposed so far. The aim of this session is to facilitate GSSP ratification at the Chiba Section through discussion for stratigraphic, chronologic and sedimentological studies regarding with the Mid Kazusa Group.
