This paper proposes a control method for autonomous mobile robots to ensure safe navigation in pedestrian areas. The method aims to support the automation of urban security and delivery services. Conventional methods for collision avoidance are limited to ensuring safe navigation for either moving pedestrians or stationary obstacles such as benches. In this talk, we propose a control method that enables safe navigation by avoiding both moving pedestrians and stationary obstacles in pedestrian spaces. Furthermore, we discuss the effectiveness and limitations of the proposed method using publicly available datasets.
