[2Win5-105] Simulation of Changes in Social Consensus Promoted by Interactive Agents that Conform to Others' Opinions

〇Yotaro Fuse1 (1.Toyama Prefectural University)

Keywords:opinion dynamics, social simulation, human–agent interaction, social robot, Robot ethics

The arrival of interactive agents, including robots and virtual agents, is expected to bring about a society in which people and interactive agents coexist. Some empirical studies have shown that interacting with robots in experimental scenarios can change people's opinions. However, it is costly and difficult to investigate the impact of such situations occurring in various parts of society on the opinions agreed upon in society in real-world settings. Therefore, this study explores the impact of the participation of interactive agents in social networks on consensus building in society through abstract simulations. The results suggest that the opinions agreed upon may change depending on the way the interactive agents conform and participate in the society.
