[4P1-OS-17a-04] OMMX: An Open Standard for Mathematical Programming Interoperability
Keywords:Mathematical Optimization, standardized data format, Open Source Software
OMMX (Open Mathematical prograMming eXchange) is an open data format and software development environment designed to streamline mathematical optimization workflows. In practical applications of mathematical optimization, frequent data exchange occurs between different teams and software, which has become a major challenge. OMMX adopts a programming language and operating system-independent format to efficiently exchange mathematical models and their solutions, thereby addressing these challenges.
Particularly in research and development, OMMX enables smooth data exchange between different teams and software systems, creating a more efficient and collaborative research environment. Additionally, its container-based data packaging functionality simplifies data management and sharing. Currently, OMMX supports basic optimization problem-solving capabilities, with plans for further expansion of functionality in the future.
