We aim to make the skull of living mice optically clear using optical clearing agent, in order to observe and stimulate their brain with visible light. In this report we applied the optical clearing agent LUCID2 to only one side of skull samples extracted from mice.
As a result, transmittance in visible light region monotonically increased in 50 hours (e.g. from 44.0% to 72.6% in 1100 nm and from 18.1% to 53.5% in 480 nm).
