[15a-P2-2] Time-Resolved Measurement of Excited State Dynamics of Deuterium in Solid Oxcide
Keywords:proton transfer, vibrational excited state, ultrafast spectroscopy
We carried out the time-resolved vibrational pump-probe measurement for OD stretching mode in solid oxide with setting a goal of controlling the proton transfer using ultrashort infrared laser pulses. The observed vibrational relaxation time was 114 ps, which was extremely longer than other usual solid oxides. It has recently been suggested that the quantum tunneling effect plays an important role in the process of proton transfer in solid. We will discuss the details of the relaxation processes of the excited vibrational mode and the contribution of tunneling effect.
