During 30 years after the discovery of high temperaturte superconductivity in copper oxide materials, many marvelous developments have been made in the experimental techniques, including sample fabrication technique, various imaging techniques etc. In this talk, I review the current understanding of cuprate high-T_c superconductors, mainly focused on the experimental aspects, together with the above mentioned developmentsin experimental techniques, and will discussthe future prospects.
