Keywords:flexible electronics, diffraction grating, surface strain

A silicone elastomer film with a grating was labeled on a flexible film to analyze surface strain of bending flexible films by measuring a diffraction angle of a probe beam. When the flexible film bent largely with small radius of curvature, which might cause destruction and fatigue, we found that the surface strain increased distinctively compared with that shown by a conventional theory.
