Triple layer anti-reflection coatings were investigated to improve efficiencies of broad band multi-junction solar cells. SiO2/SiN/TiO2 triple layers successively sputtered on the surface of silicon suggested a decrease in the solar weighted reflectance of 3.0% compared with conventional double layer anti-reflection coatings. By introducing this reflectivity in the simulated calculation of InGaAs single solar cell performance, we confirmed that short circuit current density and conversion efficiency were improved by 1.0 mAcm-2 and 0.4%, respectively.
