Keywords:polarimeter, magneto-optical, transverse Kerr effect

Optical interference phenomena on magnetic stacked films consisting of [surface half mirror/dielectric layer/magnetic mirror] multilayers provide a huge magneto-optical (MO) Kerr rotation angle. This MO enhancement is sensitive to the polarization angle because the interference effect depends on the rotation angle of the measurement light. In this presentation, a new type of polarimeter using the MO Fabry-Pérot cavity has been proposed under a transverse Kerr measurement condition.
