[19p-PA7-26] Multicolor Plasmonic Coloring Based on Light Scattering by Au Nanoparticles and Optical Interference
Keywords:Au nanoparticle, Plasmonic scattering, Thin-film interference
A TiO2 thin film with various thickness was coated on an ITO (150 nm thick) substrate and polyhedral Au nanoparticles (ca. 150 nm in size) were deposited on the film. When the sample was irradiated with white light from the front side, it exhibited various backward scattering colors including blue, green, and red depending on the TiO2 thickness. One of the Mie scattering and a couple of plasmon scattering modes was intensified and the others were suppressed, resulting in showing the multicolor light scattering.
