[20p-224A-16] SERS of organic chromophores on 1D and 2D arrays of Au nanoparticles.

We will present Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) behaviors of organic chromophores on 1D and 2D arrays of Au nanoparticles. Surface plasmon resonance is influenced by near-field interaction between neighboring particles, in addition to the sizes and shapes. We prepared organic chromophores on 1D and 2D arrays of the Au nanorods with different edge-to-edge separations and measured the Raman scattering of them. Our experimental result prevailed the role of the near-field interaction on the enhancements of the Raman scattering cross sections.
