We have investigated redirection tapered waveguide (WG)-coupled orthogonal photon-photocarrier propagation solar cell (MOP³SC) in which 3D-propagationg sunlight is to be turned into 2D-photons that propagate in photovoltaic units in the direction orthogonal to that of the photocarriers, leading to high conversion efficiency.
