When laser is introduced into a tapered fiber, we can achive long distance propagation keeping with high light focusing. Using a tapered fiber and counter propagating lasers, We report on the manipulation and selection of nano-diamonds . When lasers with different colors are introduced into the tapered fiber, fluorescent nano-diamonds can be trapped and moved to the propagation direction of a green laser while non-fluorescent nano-diamonds move towards the opposite direction. The results show the possibility of the selective nano-particle trapping and transportation depending on the difference in their absorption properties.
