[19p-P8-12] Research on the SMSI effect of Pt/TiO₂ catalyst by using TEM

It has been known that activity of metal nanoparticles supported on TiO₂ promote or deteriorate of after heating or introduction of a reaction gas, and such a phenomenon is called a strong metal-support ineteraction. In case Pt nanoparticles supported on TiO₂, coating of Pt nanoparticles with TiO_x has been reported by heat treatment in ultrahigh vacuum. Therefore, we paid attention to the structure near the interface of Pt/TiO₂ having a particle size close to practical catalyst, and investigated the site of TiO_x formation etc by TEM observation.
