Chloride, bromide, and iodide halide single crystals are known to exhibit high light yields and high energy resolution due to their narrow bandwidth, but halide materials are often high hygroscopic materials,and there are very few reports of phase diagrams. Also, very few phase diagrams of the rare earth-alkaline earth halides systems have been reported. Then, we focused on the BaI2-LuI3 systems and prepare for the phase diagrams,and crystal growth was attempted at the eutectic point in the phase diagram.
