Air flow measurements are playing an increasing role in various industrial applications, such as wind tunnel, aircrafts, underwater vehicles and medical sector. Although significant advances have been made in the field of flow sensors based on MEMS technology, the flow measurement on diverse surface without disturbing the air flow during monitoring is still challenging. In this study, we develop flexible flow sensors based on calorimetric mechanism by a screen-printing approach. Through judiciously arranging the device structures, the flow distribution (i.e. flow intensity and directions) is successfully monitored on a variety of surfaces.
