[21p-N302-1] Gas phase photocatalytic H2 production over hematite nanotube arrays/Cu2O composite under visible light irradiation

Hydrogen has drawn attention as a next generation clean energy source. We focused on n-type hematite (a-Fe2O3) and p-type cuprous oxide (Cu2O) as semiconductor photocatalyst which can absorb visible light, and cuprous oxide nanoparticles (CNP) were deposited on hematite nanotube arrays (FNT) by pulse electrodeposition. Owing to pn heterojunction, gas phase photocatalytic hydrogen generation over FNT/CNP under visible light was confirmed.
