An atmospheric-pressure plasma jet has recently been developed, which exhibits many characteristics of a conventional, low-pressure glow discharge [1, 2]. However, when argon gas plasma was generated using needle electrode configuration, the temperature around the ground electrode area often exceeded 150 Celsius degrees, and the plasma irradiation time was limited. It was found that by covering the electrodes with insulating oil, it is possible to suppress the electrode temperature rise during plasma discharge and to irradiate plasma for long-time irradiation [3, 4]. This study focuses on the tube broken in plasma heat transfer. Serious heat-load problems are encountered in the development of plasma sources that have to deal with gases heated to such temperatures that they cause some damage.
