[18p-Z13-12] Wide-field AC Magnetic Field Imaging using Continuous-Wave Optically Detected Magnetic Resonance of Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers in Diamond

A promising candidate for room temperature highly-sensitive magnetometry with high spatial resolution is the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond. Continuous-wave optically detected magnetic resonance (CW-ODMR) provide simple and suitable tools for wide-field imaging techniques, using low framerate CCD/CMOS cameras. However, only DC or low-frequency AC magnetic fields can be detected with conventional CW-ODMR techniques. Our group has recently developed a new measurement protocol using CW-ODMR to detect high-frequency AC magnetic fields by taking advantage of the zero-field splitting of the spin triplet states of the NV center. In this study we implement this protocol using CCD-based wide-field imaging techniques and demonstrate the detection of an applied field in the MHz range, as well as imaging the spatial distribution of the field over a wide-field image.
