[19p-P01-3] LFM measurements of electrochemically-exfoliated graphene oxide sheets

We have been focusing on the photo-reduction and local property changes of electrochemical graphene oxide (EGO) prepared by vacuum ultraviolet light irradiation. In this paper, we report the results of LFM (Lateral Force Microscopy) observation of EGO before and after photo-irradiation using contact mode AFM, and examine the effect of structural defects introduced during the EGO synthesis process on the local structure and frictional properties. The lateral force of EGO decreased after light irradiation, suggesting the reduction of EGO, the decrease in the amount of defects and the repair of sp2 domains by light irradiation.
