▲ [21a-C302-5] [INVITED] Optical properties of lateral/vertical van der Waals heterostructures
キーワード:two-dimensional heterostructures, crystal growth, optical properties
Low-dimensional materials such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene, boron nitride (hBN), and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have provided a platform for exploring new physics and chemistry at the nanoscale. In addition to the attractive properties of low-dimensional materials, they also allow the exploration of new superstructures such as heterojunctions, heterostacks, and superlattices, providing even broader possibilities. We have been studying the fabrication of low-dimensional superstructures by (1) crystal growth by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and (2) stacking of each component by the dry transfer method. This presentation will focus on recent research results on low-dimensional lateral/vertical heterostructures, including ultra-thin 2D MoS2/WS2 heterojunctions and heterostacks of hBN, TMD, and CNT. In addition to fabrication details, optical properties investigated with microspectroscopy and gate modulation spectroscopy will also be discussed.
