In 2002, a phenomenon was discovered in which giant molecules such as plasmids are introduced into cells by applying discharge plasma to the cells. Since then, research on "plasma gene transfection" has been conducted both in the world. The authors have been working to elucidate the mechanism of this phenomenon and to put it to practical use. In the presentation we introduce the mechanism of the micro-plasma and surface discharge methods that we have developed and their applications.
