In recent years, genome editing has been expected to be a breeding technique. However, introducing genome editing tools (Ribonucleoprotein:RNP) directly into cells has not yet been established.If RNPs can be introduced into the shoot apical meristem (growth point) of plants, all cells after cell division will be genome-edited cells, and efficient breeding can be realized. In this study, we attempted and succeeded in introducing fluorescent molecules into the growing point of barley seeds by plasma treatment.
