[22p-C102-8] Near-field heat transport between Au nano-gap electrodes prepared on a suspended membrane device

Keywords:near-field effect, heat transport, nano-gap

The near-field effect is a huge heat transport between objects across a nano-scale space that cannot be explained by the radiation of electromagnetic waves. Since both experimental and theoretical studies of the near-field effect are still under development, improving the reliability of the experiments is a particular challenge. We have succeeded in precisely measuring the near-field effect of heat transport through a nanogap prepared on a suspended membrane device with a unique driving mechanism that can control the distance between the electrodes.
