Keywords:optical communication, time synchronization, arbitration

Optical communication technology is an indispensable infrastructure for the development of information technology. In recent years, a high level of realization with respect to latency has been demanded. However, there is a bottleneck in arbitration to avoid collision. In order to solve this bottleneck, the use of time synchronization technology is being considered. In this research, we conduct experiments to verify the basic operation of a ring optical network using wireless two-way interferometry that achieves high-precision time synchronization.
