The quantum cascade laser QCL is a semiconductor laser that can obtain light from the infrared region to the THz region. The wavelength and efficiency of the laser are determined by the film structure of the Active layer that forms the quantum well, and its optimization is important. Nextnano.QCL incorporating a non-equilibrium Green's function was used for the gain calculation of the laser oscillation, and modeFRONTIER was used for the optimization by the genetic algorithm, and both were combined for optimization. After 1000 optimization calculations, an optimization structure was obtained that increased the gain from 50.01 to 78.44 cm-1.
