Tin halide perovskites are solution-processable semiconductors with the general formula ASnX3 (A = monovalent cation, X = halide). The wide bandgaps of bromide-containing ASnI3–xBrx materials make them attractive candidates for use as the top-layer absorber in tandem solar cells, as well as in single junction solar cells for indoor applications. In the present work, compositional-property mapping was realized by systematically changing the A-site (FA+, MA+, Cs+) and X-site (I, Br) ions of a series of ASnI3–xBrx films fabricated using our original high-purity starting materials. The energy levels and electronic properties of the films were characterized by photoemission spectroscopy (PYS) and photoluminescence (PL) measurements.
