[15a-PB01-2] Development of longitudinally excited CO2 laser without He gas

In this work, we have developed a longitudinally excited He-free CO2 laser that does not require a pre-ionization device. A short-pulse with a laser energy of 32.5 mJ was produced at a repetition rate of 300 Hz with a gas mixture ratio of CO2:N2=1:2 at 2.0 kPa in a discharge tube with an inner diameter of 8 mm and a length of 80 cm. In addition, a discharge tube with an inner diameter of 8 mm could provide practical energy at repetition rates 300 Hz or less, even with He-free gas.
