△ [15p-B508-12] Elucidating permeation mechanism of imidazolium-based ionic liquids into Cu3(BTC)2 single crystals
Keywords:metal-organic frameworks, ionic liquids, wettability
Composite materials of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and ionic liquids (ILs) have attracted much attention, and it is important to understand the wettability of MOFs to ILs for their applications. However, accurate measurement of the intrinsic wettability of MOFs was difficult in the previous studies because of the grain boundaries of MOF microcrystalline powders and degradation of the MOF due to moisture. In this study, the wettability of a large single crystal of a common MOF, Cu(II) benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid (Cu3(BTC)2), to imidazolium-based ILs was measured under vacuum.
