▲ [15p-E402-11] Pyrimidine end-capped electron-injection/transport materials aiming for stable phosphorescent OLEDs
キーワード:organic light-emitting diode, electron-transport materials, electron-injection materials
Conventional electron-injection materials start with Lithium and other alkali metals are widely used in view of lowering operating voltage aiming for high efficiency and stable OLEDs. Recent boom in semi-transparent silver nanoparticle/nanowire electrodes has led to a proliferation of studies around the theme of the development of electron-transport materials (ETMs) showing enhanced electron injection based on the interaction with air-stable silver metal. Herein, we report two 2,6-bis(pyrimidin-2-yl) pyridine derivatives 26DPmPy4bPh and B26DPmPy4Ph as novel ETMs. Notably, for 26DPmPy4bPh, the vacuum level (VL) of ETM was down-shifted for 0.7 eV due to the coordination with the silver. Furthermore, the OLEDs device utilizing a layer-wise fabrication of 26DPmPy4bPh with silver shows a low operating voltage of 2.60 V at 1 cd m-2 as well as that of (8-Quinolinolato) lithium (Liq).
