[16a-A409-3] Optimization of silicon-wide bend waveguides for suppression of optical path length fluctuation in photonic circuits

Achieving high calculation accuracy in optical analog processors is an essential issue in scaling. Widening the waveguide effectively reduces the optical path length error in the interferometer, but bending loss due to mode conversion poses a new problem. To suppress this, we newly defined multi-part Euler curves and optimized the 90° bend waveguide by the Nelder-Mead method. The optimized 2x2 MMI coupler for wide waveguides will also be reported.
