We observed the signals of coherent population trapping (CPT) resonance for cesium atoms by using phase-locked two external cavity diode lasers. In contrast to use of sidebands induced by modulation of an injection current to a laser diode, unnecessary higher-order sidebands did not affect the CPT signals. It was important to increase the component of the coherent peak by using the lasers which had linewidths sufficiently narrower than the bandwidth for the servo control.
